Introduction: Coat-Endure Digital Display

Coat-Endure: Admittance Level Switch

The Coat-Endure Digital Display is a compact RF Admittance level switch designed for both conductive and non-conductive application media, ensuring accurate and dependable level measurement.

Coat-Endure Digital Display can also be used to detect level of foam(water based) and also ignore foam buildup at the same time; the paints and chemical industry has applications with such requirement.

Design: Old

The old design composed of two Status LEDs used for switching purposes; indicating normal and alarm conditions. The DIP switches were used for configuring parameters like Time Delays, Calibration, Failsafe & Sensitivity.

While making changes to the configuration, user did not have a live visual feedback. Even after the changes, verifying the changed parameters was time consuming.

Design: New Display with Seven Segment Digital Display

The new display in Coat-Endure was prompted by feedback from our users. It also helped us to adapt popular display features from our SLA - RF Admittance Level Sensor and enhance them to help our users with configuration. It also enhances the live running response by showing the proximity to a switching point.

Following are the features implemented in new Coat-Endure Digital Display

Home Screen Display

Home screen consist of two screens, Screen-1 indicates failsafe status & sensor state and Screen-2 indicates calibration mode & sense count.

Menu Screens

The Menu Screens shows set of all screens required for configure following:

  • Calibration :
  • The instrument is need to be air and material calibrated.

  • Sensitivity :
  • Sensitivity of level sensor has to be adjusted depending on the dielectric constant of the application media.

  • Hysteresis :
  • Hysteresis of Level Sensor can be adjusted depending upon the switching threshold from covered state to uncovered state, Hysteresis value ranges from (0 to sensitivity value).

  • Relay-1 & Relay-2 :
  • Relay settings can be adjusted depending upon Failsafe state and switching relay.

  • Default :
  • Factory Reset reset the time delays and sensitivity to the default values, it does not reset to any calibration values.

  • Service :
  • For Service team.
