RFID Tag Writing Tool
It is a tool cum doctype for writing UHF RFID tags properly. Before we begin the following are required for local computer:
- RFID Reader with RS-232 to USB Cable
- 12v Adapter for power supply to reader
- QZ app installed on computer (https://qz.io/download/)
- Permission to access Serial Ports (/dev/ttyUSB*)
How to operate it?
- After login to ERPNext on our website , open RFID Tag Writing Tool either via search or from manufacturing module.
2. Click on Add button on right Side
It will open new doc unsaved. Before we being make sure
1. you have opened QZ on computer
2. RFID reader is powered with 12V supply voltage
3. RFID Reader is connected to Computer via RS-232 to USB cable
- click on "Allow Reader Port" to find ttyUSB port for the connected RFID Reader. if successful then will show port name on doc like below:
=> Do not refresh the page else you have to repeat the same procedure again.
4. Once Port is opened then click on get TID button. before clicking it make sure the tag you wish to write is placed on reader.
once clicked it tries to fetch manufacturer ID from tag like below.
if unsuccessful then click again till we get manufactrer ID
5. Now select Trolley type from given option :
6. Click on "Save Tag" keeping blank "Full Name".
If manufacturer_id is not previously saved then only one can save the tag as it is generating unique error like below:
if unique manufacturer id found then it will save RFID Tag and show below:
7. Once saved on ERPnext click on "write Tag" that will make buzzer sound on reader and also give message for success /failure.
8. Check the data if written successful by clicking on "Get Written ID"
9. Once the writing is successful submit the document.
Do the Same for the next Tag.
