Installing Open RPort (0.9.12)

  • After changing the password, install open rport. This is necessary for getting the pi registered on the rport domain. Also, the service should already be running before the elec_test service runs as the script contains reference to this service also.
  • To install rport, start by clicking add client on the rport portal.

R-port

  • Click on add access to add a new client to rport.

R-Port1

  • After clicking add access, add the name of the client. The name has to be unique. At the same time, it is to be understood that this name will also serve as an indicator to the rpi, which are not configured with the service script. This is because, the service script will change the hostname to workstation. So, any client, with other name is an un-configured client.

R-Port2

  • After completing previous step, take good care to note down the ID,Password as below to add access. Few commands need to be ran on the system.Once the configuration is complete successfully, You can start rport service.
