CAPPS is an abbreviation of CAPacity, Planning and Scheduling. The utility helps to better plan the processes and schedules for manufacturing of sensors on shop floors. It also helps to track the trolleys in real time.
The system updates the position of trolley, for example on which workstation it is currently being operated, in ERP. The RFID reader mounted in the trolley helps to track it. The reader mounted in tower read the tag and send the information (tag id, reader id and it's function (if changed)) to ERP. In return ERP sends information packet containing various information regarding actions to be taken, speech information, workstation information etc. This information is than interpreted by various section of the code and than respective information is than passed to various code modules which process it according to function.
Components:
The various components that are used are Reader, Raspberry Pi, SD card, tower light, power supplies and a motherboard. This complete unit constitutes the RFID tower. The details of each functionality will be covered in this document.
Power Supply:

The power supply are from Mornson. There are two power supplies, 12V and 5V. These are to cater the different current ratings. The 5V supply is dedicated to RPi and PAM 8403 audio amplifier. Thus, we do not need the external adapter with Rpi. The 12V supply provides power to RFID reader, switches and tower light.
Important: The 5V power supply should be adjusted precisely to 5.45V and 12v power supply should be adjusted to 12.75v using the trimmer available on the power supply.
