The acronym CapPS stands for Capacity, Planning, and Scheduling. This utility helps to plan and organize the manufacturing process for sensors on the shop floor and It also helps to track the trolleys in real time.
CapPS simplifies the entire process, from accepting orders to delivering products, making it easy for all departments. In the current scenario, the sales team have to manually check the status of orders with the production team after entering the sales order into the ERP system, which takes a significant amount of time and creates confusion due to unclear communication. It will minimize the wastage of resources and will fasten the procedure.
CapPS allows each team to simply track the progress of the work order without having to inquire or make phone calls. The sales team begins the process by entering a sales order into the ERP system. Then, the production supervisor creates a production plan on the basis of material request that is generated by sales team. Once the planning is complete, the supervisor begins the automated scheduling of job cards for the next day.
The system prioritize and arrange the jobs, allocating time to trolleys at various workstations. All data is saved to an R-Pi connected via Ethernet, providing access to all information within the ERP system /All data processed through R-Pi connected via Ethernet and data will be saved on ERP system.
