Ultrasonic Level Transmitter |
Ultrasonic level measurement is one of the most
commonly used techniques where contact with
service material is prohibitive either due to
environmental conditions outside or inside the
vessel.
Sultan 234 series ultrasonic level transmitter
can accurately neasure the level of solids or
liquids upto 60 meters. This level transmitter
is a non invasive acoustic wave transmitter with
flexibility and is a CE approved product.
The Sultan 234 series has found extensive
application in the following industries:
- Waste water/water: Open channel flow,
inlet screens, sumps, pump stations, water
towers, dam level, chemical, etc
- Mining: Crushers, surge bins, ore passes,
conveyor profile, blocked chute, stockpile,
stackers, reclaimers, storage silos etc.
- Power Stations: Boiler bunkers, raw coal
bunkers, ash pits, fly ash silos, etc.
The Sultan 234 ultrasonic level sensor is based
on the principle of using sound waves for
determining the material level. There is no
contact between the transducer and the service
material. The sensor displays a wide range of
flexibility allowing for 2 wire loop power, AC
and DC supplies all within a single amplifier.
The transmitter has low installation costs and
is easy to
calibrate.
Sultan 234 has multiple head capability to
reduce cost per unit.

| Operating Principle |
An acoustic wave transmitted
form this ultrasonic level transmitter is
reflected from the surface of the service
material. A built-in software processes the
signal enhancing the correct signal and
rejecting background noise. The waves that the
Sultan 234 ultrasonic level transmitter sends
are high powered. These waves ensure that there
is minimal loss through the outside environment
where the sensor is physically located. Even if
there is any loss the high powered waves make up
for it thus making the Sultan system a preferred
choice over the traditionally used ultrasonic
level switches. The rule is simple: more the
energy transfered, more is returned. The
receiver circuitry is such designed that it
identifies and monitors low level return signals
even when noise level is high. These signals are
then compensated for temperature to provide
accuracy to outputs. |
