Sapcon’s Admittance Level Limit switch consists of an evaluation unit, an electronic insert and a probe. The probe is mounted either from top or side of the vessel. The probe comprises of sense, shield electrode electrically isolated from the metallic tank by means of suitable insulator. The two electrodes form an imperfect capacitor with the service material as dielectric.
Sapcon Admittance series level switch uses a three element immuno coat technology and uses precision rectifier to eliminate voltage of shield due to build-up of material. The Oscillator generates an AC voltage which drives a current through the capacitance influenced by the product. This AC current is transformed by a precision rectifier in to a DC current which is transmitted to the evaluation instrument and compared with a pre adjusted set value.
The shielded electrode is connected to the minus of the AC voltage, therefore in case adhesion, the current flows from the sensitive measuring part to the shielded electrode and not via precision rectifier. Only the capacitance between the sensitive measuring part and container wall cause a current through the precision rectifier.
