Sapsonic Series – Ultrasonic Level Transmitter

Sapsonic is a non-contact type ultrasonic level transmitter for continuous monitoring of free-flowing and non-foaming liquids. Ultrasonic level sensors are based on the principle of measuring the ‘time of flight’. Sapsonic level transmitter supports measuring ranges of 5m, 8m and 10m.

Features like temperature compensation and fixed target suppression make it suitable for continuous level measurement in non-contact type applications. Sapsonic level transmitter offers mounting arrangements of threaded and flange type. An 8 digit LCD display outputs the current level of material in the tank.

Principle

The ultrasonic sound pulse is transmitted by a piezo-electric transducer. Ultrasonic sound reflects from the fluid and is detected by the transducer. Time taken to travel by the ultrasonic sound is calculated and converted into distance by the on-board microcontroller.
